La oncología es una rama de la medicina que se dedica al estudio y tratamiento de los tumores malignos, es decir, el cáncer. Como cirujano oncólogo, mi labor consiste en realizar intervenciones quirúrgicas para extirpar tumores cancerosos y ayudar a los pacientes a combatir esta enfermedad.
Mi formación como Cirujano Oncólogo
Para convertirme en cirujano oncólogo, he tenido que cursar una larga y rigurosa formación académica y práctica. Primero, realicé mis estudios de medicina en la universidad, donde adquirí los conocimientos básicos sobre anatomía, fisiología y patología. Posteriormente, realicé la especialidad en cirugía general, donde aprendí las técnicas quirúrgicas fundamentales para intervenir en diferentes patologías.
Una vez finalizada mi especialidad en cirugía general, decidí especializarme en oncología. Esta especialización me permitió adquirir los conocimientos necesarios para tratar específicamente los tumores malignos, así como las habilidades quirúrgicas para realizar intervenciones complejas en pacientes con cáncer.
La importancia de la mastología en el tratamiento del cáncer de mama
La mastología es una subespecialidad de la oncología que se centra en el estudio y tratamiento de las enfermedades de la mama, especialmente el cáncer de mama. Esta disciplina es fundamental en el tratamiento de esta enfermedad, ya que el cáncer de mama es uno de los tipos de cáncer más frecuentes en las mujeres.
Como cirujano oncólogo especializada en mastología, mi labor consiste en realizar intervenciones quirúrgicas para extirpar tumores de mama, así como en el seguimiento y tratamiento de las pacientes con cáncer de mama. Además, trabajo en estrecha colaboración con otros especialistas, con la finalidad de ser una solución para las vidas de mis pacientes.
